A DS1 Alarm Trap indicates a DS1 Line Status bit has changed state, producing an Alarm Event for the DS1 interface. The bit map Line Events variable identifies the alarm event(s). The bit map Line Status variable contains the interface status when the alarm occurred. Only enabled (arm set) status produce an Alarm Trap. A DS1 Threshold Crossing Alert has occurred. The Performance Parameters which have exceeded their Threshold Values are identified in the bit mapped Alert variables for the Near End and Far End DS1 interface.
